Curious as to whether anyone here has had the Cowboy conversion done to their 336, in whatever caliber, but esp the 30-30. In straight & pistol grip stocks. What did you think of the finished rifle? Been thinking about it since re-viewing a few posts on the M.O. forum, and re-reading my old Shooters bible that still has the 30-30 Cowboy models listed. Seems a really fine looking rifle, in either stock configuration. The 38-55 would be a dream come true.....but the ammo/components seem a little scarce if I'm browsing right..... but a 30-30 would do just fine :D
