I recently purchased an 1894C in .357 Magnum and included with it, was a list of Marlin accessories.
They have a Tasco Ring and Base set for Center Fire Lever Action rifles.
Does anyone have experience with this accessory item?
I am also looking for suggestions (brand and power range) for a low power inexpensive scope for distances not exceeding 50 yds.
Thanks for your assistance. ordway@intergate.com.

Welcome to the forum ordway, rules are simple, be nice and join in.

I've had really good luck with Cabala's pine ridge scopes in the 2-7 or 2.5-7 power range. The Shotgun/black powder scope has a 50 yard hyperfocal distance and is excellent for guns you plan to shoot in the 25 to 125 yard range. They have easy adjustments, good optics and at $70.00 are a bargain for what they deliver.

As for mounts I've used the Tasco rings and bases on lots of 22 rifles and even a few center fires with no problems. My favorite rings and bases are Leapold, but Burris and Weaver also make good bases and rings.

God luck with your new .357
