whatya boys got planned for summer fun then?
im looking forward to long days at work but a bit of surfing, bunny, fox, hare and goat chasing close to home after hours.
not as exciting as my trip to bourke last year this time chasing a few porkers but mainly foxes and goats.

Been off the forum for a while now but something reminded me and now am back.
I was working in central Aus for a while and got a little bit of hunting in while I was up there. Shot a few camels, a donkey and a cat. Back in Victoria again now and getting back into deer hunting. Got a couple of meat fallow lately and getting out after sambar before it gets too hot and busy over summer (I fight bushfires for a living).

summer fun,lots of fishing,spotlighting, four wheel driving camping,but mostly bloody working :mad:

I got in amongst a mob of pigs tuesday morning. Just happened to see them across the paddock about 6:45am Got 7 out of about 12. Mostly little ones using sxs 12G with BB's then 9mm in my berretta. 9mm isn't good enough for the biger pigs.

The 9mm is a rifle hey buddy ;)

Went spotlighting friday night, got 3 roos and missed two more. They were pretty hard to get as the nearby thunderstorms had them going everywhere. They would only sit when we were about 200m away and there was a liottle too much wind to get consistent shots.

As for summer, fishing, shootingand work. Same old same old

ive just started th home-brewing to full summer capacity in the ready for summer bbq's and evening beers with the boys after a hot day at work. :D good times!

your time in central oz sounds interesting. fill me in. id love to chase camels but itd be a bit different shooting something so massive as a camel. good luck with the deer. i might be heading up your neck of vic sometime over jan feb to hit up the trout streams with a fly rod and some home tied flies. that is if i can get some time off work. its gonne be a pretty big workload for us cos apparently its going to be a nasty fire season, and i work as a pilot at a small airport in geelong and we have contracts with the DSE and CFA (region 7) for firespotting etc. all the fellas from both departments have been great to work with in the past so it should be a good summer. what region are you? CFA?
im looking forward to fulltime work now that i finish uni (last class today ever!!!!!!!!) after exams in 3 weeks.

fishing, hunting, camping and 4wd'ing sounds like the perfect way to spend some free days during our warm season. i love spotlighting in summer when its still 25degrees out and you can wear a t-shirt and shorts while out on the light.

chasing pigs with a 9mm beretta? how does that work in legal terms? im just a lil curious thats all. itd be great to use a handgun for chasing pigs, no matter the country.
