New at this game and having a bit of trouble mounting a scope. Looking for some advice. I purchased a scout mount rail for a Marlin 336. The question I have is... how do the weaver mounts attach? I've tried every way and the mounts I have don't seem to be wide enough to fit both sides of the rails. Any help is appreciated. thanks, Kevin

Check your rings to be sure they aren't for .22 rimfire mounts. Standard 1" rings should fit the XS base with no trouble.
