It's always a good thing to be reminded of reality. I'm all for reducing the damage to my shoulder, especially when it has so little impact at the other end of a 75 yd. shot. I believe the real advantage of higher bullet speed is that you reach out a little further before you're bullet hits the ground. Given that I'm not looking for 200+ yard shots, the slower round is just as effective. (I fantasize about a big bull elk wandering across my 100 yard lane at the shooting range when I have my rifle nicely bedded on sand bags and me sitting on a comfortable seat. I'm pretty sure I could hit him under those conditions.)
