What is a good amount of Red Dot powder to use in a 28 gauge field load?

I never used red dot with the 28ga. I always found green dot, Herco, or Solo 1250 worked the best for me.

There's no data for Red Dot in the Alliant handloader's guide, the Lyman #4 manual or DBI's (Gun Digest) Reloading for Shotgunners #4. It's just too fast and all the data indicates that you need Unique or an even slower powder.

Thanks guys. I have a bunch of Red Dot I thought I could use. I use it in the 577 Snider for reduced smokeless loads and light loads in the 45 Colt. I'll get something else.
