I have a Winchester model 67 (or 69) I belive bolt action .22 LR.

The left extractor/ejector finger is broken.

I took it to a Smith who verified this situation but he has been unable to locate the part for replacement as the gun is "obsolete". At least in the sense that parts are not being produced for it.

Does anyone know where I might be able to buy this part?

I really want to fix this gun as this gun my grand father first carved his first checkering on the stock and I used the gun as a kid.

I realize the monetary value of the gun is not much but the sentimental value is high for me! I may even consider buying a complete replacement gun simply to get this part. Plus a whole lot more parts for the future!!!!

If he was a real "Gunsmith" he could have made you a new extractor. Seems to be more and more "parts installers" these days, and fewer real Gunsmiths. I call them parts installers because if they can't find the part to install, they can't fix it. The gun can be fixed if you can find a real gunsmith who can make you the part you need.

I found the part you need if the 69 is the same as the 67.

Hope this helps.

I see now that the 67 and 69 are totally different. Maybe best to find a good gunsmith who can make you one.
