View Full Version : Sighting in red dot scope
Just bought one of these and mounted on my 444P. Any suggestions on how to bore sight these scopes? Never used a red dot before

ISD do exactly like you would a regular scope. With a lever action where you can't see down the bore I'd start by shooting it at 12 yards. Get it zeroed there and move out to 50 then a hundred. All the red dot sights I've seen have windage and elevation adjustments just like a scope.
I have an aimpoint 5000 and it's been on several handguns and now resides on a Mossberg 835 ulti-mag.

Many thanks, will give that a try!
With a Marlin, you can remove the lever, then remove the bolt out the back of the receiver. This way you can bore sight looking right down the bore.
