The Remingtons look like a high brass version of the RTL & STS. A very good shell for reloading and I'm up to 8 reloads on some of them.

The Winchesters with the white plastic base wad aren't the best and definitely not as good as the old one piece AA shells. There are reports of the white basewad coming loose and lodging up the barrel. I won't reload them.

Yes, they're just the new AA. I think there's more than one variation of them.

Your best bet for data is the Alliant website, now that it's back on line. There's over 80 loads listed for the 12 gauge with Green Dot and 1 1/8 oz. shot alone.

The ones with the white base are the PolyForm cases not the AA. Total differant hull. The new AA's the base goes up into the case about 1/4'' farther.

The Lyman #4 manual was printed before the white basewad AA was introduced and tomme is right. The white basewad in the AA shell is deeply cupped, with the edge of the cup about 1 15/16" - 48mm from the case mouth. I don't have a polyformed shell handy, but Lyman shows a flat-topped white basewad with a short (1/8"?) flange. I haven't loaded them, but I understand they're medium grade for reloading. Not the best, not the worst.

The Remington 209P or 209 Premier primer is the only primer Remington has made available for 12 gauge to handloaders for at least a dozen years. I'm not sure if they made a 209 that wasn't a 209 Premier after they discontinued the 97 primers. They also made a 57 primer that was smaller in diameter. Just stick to Alliant's data.
