Saw my first buck with a drop tine this morning after 42+ years of hunting! What would be a large frame 10-ptr had a 5" drop tine. It would have been impressive except every tine other than the drop tine was broken off from fighting! Definitely a head-banger!

My dad was trying to shoot it while I rattled horns and this big agressive "spike" got my dad so rattle that I thought my dad would stroke out!

Way cool. A rack with all of the tines busted off says that is one aggressive boy.... !

Hope he's having good luck with the ladies.

Hang in there RD - the buck's daddy is probably just a mesquite bush away!

Are you gonna be able to juggle schedules and make it to Cundiff in December?

Wasn't this monring great hunting!
It was 37degrees up here. I rattled up 4 of them and ended up shooting the smallest
Good Luck

I won't have my December schedule for a couple of more days. More than likely I will be working. Can't complain though... I will have had all of November off...

I have heard and read that when your buck/doe ratio is in line, then you have more fighting between bucks and more broken horns because of it. Also makes them easier to rattle up.

I think there's something to that.
