I did a good bit of testing for the 260 Rem with the 129gr SSTs and the 120gr Nosler Ballistic Tips. I have since changed to 140gr Sierra Gamemasters exclusively, due to a few issues I had with terminal performance on deer. However, I would be happy to share my info on the SST's.

You list loads for Varget and H4350 so I will give you these first. All rounds fired from a Ruger M77, Mark 2 rifle. All SST loaded rounds have COL of 2.840".

Primer: CCI 200 Primer
Powder: H-Varget 34gr
Bullet: Hornady SST 129gr
5-shot avg FPS:2439
Extreme Spread: 44fps
Ft lbs Energy: 1704

Primer: CCI 200 Primer
Powder: H4350 41gr
Bullet: Hornady SST 129gr
5-shot avg FPS:2638
Extreme Spread: 36fps

I also found some of my other data in another file:

Primer: CCI 200 Primer
Powder: H-Varget, 38gr
Bullet: Hornady SST 129gr
5-shot avg FPS:2713
Extreme Spread: n/a
Ft lbs Energy: 2109

Primer: CCI 200 Primer
Powder: H-Varget, 36gr
Bullet: Hornady SST 129gr
5-shot avg FPS:2576
Extreme Spread: n/a
Ft lbs Energy: 1901

Primer: CCI 200 Primer
Powder: H4831sc, 43gr
Bullet: Hornady SST 129gr
5-shot avg FPS:2417
Extreme Spread: n/a
Ft lbs Energy: 1817

I have used IMR 4064, RL 15, RL 19, IMR 4831, and IMR 4350. All powders were within acceptable limits for a hunting round, but so far with the SST I haven't found anything better than H4831sc.

A not regarding Hornady SST and Nosler BT's. I have loaded both of these bullets in 260 Rem, 30-06 Springfield, and 270 Winchester. In all three cartridges both bullets nearly printed the same groups, except for the fact that the SST's would impact almost exactly 1" lower than the Nosler's. Don't know why and doesn't matter if you sight it in for that bullet. I just thought it was curious.

My favorite load for the 6.5x55 Swede (kissin' cousin to the .260 Rem) using the 129 gr Hornady SST is 46.5 gr H4831, CCI BR2 primer and W-W brass. Avg Vel = 2850 fps. Accuracy is outstanding.

I'm a huge fan of the 260 Rem and have tried several powders looking for the best results, including H4350 and Varget. If your looking for the best velocity and accuracy, do yourself a favor, try RL22.

do you have any loads using H4895 powder ? it seems to be very versatile.

H4895 will probably land on about 37 grains at the high end. Near to Varget. It burns completely in a 24" tube and has lower muzzle pressure, and therefore will produce lower muzzle blast than H4350. About 8000 PSI vs. almost 10,000 PSI in a 24" tube. However, it only fills the case 87.5%, where I show the same-pressure H4350 load as slightly compressed. That leaves enough air that you will get some significant velocity variation (maybe 50 fps or so) depending whether you tip the muzzle up or down before coming level to shoot (powder back against the flashhole or forward against the bullet).

Still, the accuracy may be quite good. The standard military match load of IMR 4895 in the .30-06 only fills the case a little over 84%. I mention this to warn you not to load up to pressure signs, firing with the powder forward against the bullet. That load could result in an unacceptable pressure jump if later fired with with the powder back over the flashhole. Even the military M72 .30-06 round jumps from rounded to flat primers just depending which way you tip them before firing. Always work up loads with powder back against the flashhole while watching for pressure signs.

Sorry, I dont. The four powders I have tried are Varget, H4350, RL19, and RL22. The best by far was RL22.
