Has anyone here ever experienced problems seating cast
bullets in a bottle necked case when the gas check goes below the neck into the boiler room?
I may have asked this here before, so forgive me.
CRS, ya'know.

If the check is firmly clinched to the bullet base, shouldn't present much of a problem. I've seated them below the necks and didn't notice any adverse effects.

Thanks kdub....That's kinda what I thought, but there seems to be some speculation as to whether it's good practice.
I've got a Saeco 145gr fpgc mold for my 7-30 Waters,Win.
94, and I know some of the cast bullets some folks use in their 35Rems.have to have the gc's seated below the neck because of the short necks of the 35Rem.
The Saeco bullet seems as if were made for the Waters in a lever action, but the folks at Saeco couldn't say for sure.
Just wondered if anyone has encountered a problem in
a real life experience. Haven't heard of any yet.

I think you should be OK. Presure will be equal and balanced on that gascheck as it goes to the neck of the case. If "poorly crimped", might be a problem? It is a good question.

Haven't had a problem, but I do try to avoid seating gas checks below the case neck out of long habit. When I have, noting nasty has happened.

Have never seated on way down there...at worst, it's just a little below the neck.

I haven't, no.... but the loads have been compressed, so the checks aren't going anywhere till it goes bang.
