Hello everyone!

Could someone please tell me when Marlin reintroduced the model 1894 lever action and what caliber or calibers was it offered in when it first came back out.

Thanks!
Slufoot

Thanks Merc41, that was a very good article.
I didn't make my question clear, the aticle said they stopped making the original model 94 Marlins in 1933.

I would like to know when they started back making the Model 1894 that we so often use today.

Thanks!

Hi Slufoot Yea thats a good question. I don't know when they came back out for sure. But I believe it was at least 1970's or earlyer. I know I've seen them in 41mag and 44mag. What else I'm not sure of either. So it looks like the only thing that I am sure of is that I'm not sure. I will keep watching to see if anyone does know. Oh yea there is one thing I am sure of. I love mine in 44mag. Perfect deep woods, thicket brush gun. I shot a nice 6 point two years ago.

Sorry Slufoot, I didn't read the whole article...I do know one thing, I would love to have the 1894 in .41 mag, and 357 mag.
Of course, if I were rich, I would probalby have them all. Good luck with you hunting.

I forget the year but it was late 60's or 70's & the first round it was reintroduced in was 44 mag.

I think it was 1969, 44 mag. Edit: The net says 1969 in 44 mag. Its been made in 25/20, 32/20, 218 Bee, 357 mag, 41 mag, 44/40, 45 Colt and probably some others.

I don't know the dates they came out but I have three 1894 cowboy limited guns in 24" octagonal barrels in .357, .44 mag, & .45 Colt. I absolutely love them. They are fun guns to shoot and I love the 24" barrels for offhand shooting. I've only had them for about a year now and have only shot target with them but have plans on trying some for game in the future.
