Hello all my first post.I have a question about a old model 94.It is a octagon barrel 30WCF. I was at my uncles house today and he was showing me his old rifle.Wanted to know what its worth. It is in really good condition. He said he has had it for over 35 yrs and never fired it.It has a 6 digit serial number and I belive its pretty old.It did have a smokless powder stamp on it.Any ideas where we could info on it as to year of production, and rarity. Thanks for all your help.

With a 6 digit serial it will be older, my records show they hit the 1,000,000 range in about 1928. We could tell you exactly if you give us the first 3 numbers. These are marked 30WCF and not 30-30 Winchester. The tang will have model 1894 on it and top eject. 26" barrel? If so I have the same one with a round barrel. There are lots around, various condition, I have seen them for $500 or a bit more.

In 90% or better condition with a bright bore? Closer to $900.00 where I live, and much more if it has special order options, such as pistol grip stock, checkering, original short barrel, take-down, etc.,etc., the list go on. With the right and very rare options prices can easily go over 5 digits. But that is for extremely rare guns.
Post some pictures if you can.
Happy holidays,

Iim looking for a pre64 Leopold mid barrel site and mount of 1960's vintage. Does anyone have one for sale? It was unique in that it tapped into the barrel band and the rear site base.

You are going to pay a dear price if you find one. I saw one several year back for $150 so who knows today.
