Having owned many Weatherby's, they are great rifles, and are of top quality, all of mine would shoot any 1", I suspect the .223, would as well.
Can any one tell me what the weatherby vanguard synthetic in 223 would be like for coyote hunting The 223 speaks for itself. The Vanguard in my opinion is the best value out there. PLus you get a 24" barrel, hinged floor plate, and more.
I think a lot of them!

If you want a Coyote gun then the 22-250 would be a better choice. You can use the heavier bullets and still maintain good velocity. The new Sub-MOA Varmint would be a great choice in 22-250.

I agree that a .22-250 is a better choice unless you plan to shoot the thing a lot. However, on your heavier bullet idea, Weatherby's 22-250 barrels are 1-14" twist, so your not going to a significantly heavier bullet without losing some stability. I have a 1-12" 22-250 and it does OK with 60 grain bullets, but it still prefers 55s.

I HAVE A VANGUARD VARMINT IN 22-250. ALSO a varmintmaster mark v. both shoot outstanding groups. so it depends on how fat your wallet is.

If your calling coyotes the 223 makes a good coyote gun to 300 yards or so. Past that the 22-250 shines. If you plan on harvesting hides then your better off with one of the 17's or the new 204 Ruger. The .224's can be hide unfriendly. Just depends on what you want to do.
I shoot three different coyote guns, a Ruger #1B (now my grand daughters gun) in 243, a Remington 700 VLS heavy barrel in 243 and now a CZ 527 in 204 Ruger. The 204 is fast becoming my favorite rifle. Shoots as flat as a 22-250, but with low enough recoil you can watch your bullets hit and very hide friendly.
The 243's get Nosler 55 grainers at 3980 fps, the 204 shoots 40 grain Hornedys at the same speed and 32 hrain Hornedys at around 4200 fps. All are like lasors at these velocities. The CZ Varmit is shooting dime size groups at a hundred.
I have one in 300.wby mag. There made by Howa in japan
Rifle is one of the best i have for accuracy. I beleave one in 223. would be exelent . it's a well built rifle for the money.
