Havn't seen that one yet tpv. kdub says the 280 AI is an excellent round. Got one Remingtons Mountian rifles in 280 and it is a dandy shooter even as light as it is. Recoils less than the little 308 model seven carbine at the same weight.

Killed my first two deer with a .280 Rem. No complaints from me! :D

This is what I found when I did a web search on them. Looks like there is only going to be 500 of them and they are pretty pricy. More than my budget would ever allow. There was a pix and they certianly are pretty.

I would consider a 280 Rem AI to be right up there with a beltless 7mm Rem Mag. Have seen several of this chambering at the local gunrange and they all were extreme good shooters. One was in a custom titanium lightweight rifle with a 20" tube (fellow intended to go after mountain goats) that was sub-MOA with his and the gunsmith's custom handloads. Beautiful rifle.
