The Redields formerly sold at Wal-Mart were marked "Made in the USA" and used the model name "Partner".
I have two of the 3X9 40mm Partners and they seem to perform very well.
My questions are: are these pre-Blount Redields, (I assume so, because of the "Made in the USA" thing), and what are they comparable to in quality, (low-end Leupold Rifleman, etc)?

Nathanial, no one who knows what he's talking about has responded for some time so I'll jump in.
First, I don't know. Never had any personal experience with the Partner line myself. But I once knew a clerk at a local quality sporting goods store. He told me the Partner line was a major contributor to Redfields demise as a scope company. His store eventually quit selling them due to frequency of returns for various failures. After a longer period, they gave up trying to sell Redfields at all because the market, rightly or wrongly lost faith, in them.
If yours work, great. No doubt many were ok and if yours have held up this long they must be ok. But I would put them below the Rifleman series because of the lack of an effective warranty if nothing else.
