I saw a replica rifle at a gun show that looks like the old Colt slide action. It is chambered for the 45 Colt cartridge. It was a nice looking rifle and the price was not too bad. I believe it is called a Taurus Thunderbolt. Has anyone out there looked at one or better yet shot one. I would like some opinions. Thanks

The Taurus website seems to have been updated recently ,it shows this rifle in 45LC and 38/357. Price $515.00

Read a review on it for cowbou shootes. Said it was putting 2 inch groups at 25 yds with cowboy loads and 5/8 inch groups with the 'hot' factory loads (21,000 to 23,000 psi). Taurus cleared them for that pressure.
Here's the link.

Can't say I like the look of the forearm. Too short and too close to the receiver.
