I have the six inch blue GP100 and also a four inch stainless. Excellent revolvers! Accurate, tough and the best factory grip set-up on the market.

I have the stainless version as well. One of the most accurate handguns I own. Shoots cast bullets like a dream.
I have a KGP-160, which is a 6" stainless model with a short shroud. I have alot of fun with it and will likely add another GP-100 later on or possibly an SP101.

I went ahead and bought a 4" SS. Should be here next week.
Now I need to get a shoulder holster but I don't want one that crosses my back. I would prefer one that just goes around my neck and up and down the same side of my body.
Dare I say....sort of like a purse....

I got one of those for Xmas from my GF. It is a great Revolver. My brother has the SS 6". Mine has had around 300 rounds fired since Xmas it is very accurate and the action is smoothing out nicely.
Excellent revolvers. I had one for a while and foolishly traded it for something else I just had to have.

The term I keep hearing lately is "Man purse", so don't be afraid to use it. ;)
I have the GP160, 6 inch blued barrel with the short lug. It's one I know I won't let go of. I think you are really going to like that revolver.

Got a 3 inch Stainless most accurate gun I own and I own a bunch, really a pussycat to shoot with all loads I've tried. Good Luck

Second trip to the range and 300 rounds (100 .38 and 200 .357) through it with no surprises :-)
I love this thing!!!!
On a sad note I found it for sale elsewhere for 60 bucks less than I paid but wth... I don't mind supporting my small-town gun place.
Now I want another gun :-)

Oldwolf - that is perty. I went back and forth between 4 and 6 inches but chose 4 so I can conceal carry more easily.

I have a 4 inch stainless model. It has Hogue grips. I'm an LEO, and it rides in a Safariland holster on my side for 12 hours while on duty. I'm old school. I'm more comfortable with my revolver than a semi auto. I trust it with my life. What more can I say.

My 4" stainless was the first gun I ever bought back in 95.
Have bought, sold and traded lots of guns since then but will never part with my GP-100.
Took it to the range last friday and let my 14 yr old son shoot it.
It's his favorite gun.

Sorry to be so late getting back. I didn't have my email thread notification turned on.
No I didn't polish mine; she came as is new in 1998. But I like that satin finish too! :)
picked up my GP-100 back in 98. Got it on clearance for $225. Best money I have spent on a pistol. Very accurate and reliable. I will never part with this gun.

Whats the better length for this pistol? 4 or 6?

Depends on what you want it for ArmyGI.
I bought mine for carrying out in the woods so I went 6 inch. It doesn't work unless under a big coat for concealed so for that I'd suggest 4 inch barrel.
I have the GP100 in a 6 inch barrel and a Security Six with a 4 inch barrel and both are very accurate handguns and allow me to shoot reliably offhand 10 out of 12 shots on 6 inch steel targets at 50 yards. So I'm happy with that.

I have been contemplating the GP 100 in a 4" blue version;
I realise the SS is prolly better for woods bummin, but there's that classic look of blue......
And another vote for the Security six! I have one in stainless, 2 3/4" barrel that I would trust with my life. added a set of hogues, and it is perfect.
