A friend of a friend type of deal has a rcbs ammomaster progressive press he wants to sell, doesn't reload anymore I guess, complete unit with a bunch of extra pieces for it, shell plates, tool heads and so on. He asked me if it was a good press and what it was worth. I haven't a clue. Can you guys help me out with this one???? Only rcbs press I have or know anything about is the Rock. Thanks alot.

I found that press at Huntington Reloading supplies for 212 bucks and some change new. It's pretty easy to get twice that much money in extras. So that give you an idea of what the basic press would cost new.

I appreciate your response, I looked at that site (Huntingtons) I think the press you mentioned is RCBS's single stage ammomaster. The ammomaster auto progressive doesn't seem to be made anymore from what I could find. Hence the 2000 model I assume. I've never owned a progressive so don't know much other than what I've read about them. Mostly here, and it seems to run Dillon , with Hornady and RCBS runnin a pretty close second. A Ford, Chevy, Dodge thing more than likely. If I could get a Ford truck with a Cummins diesel with Chevy interior and drivability that would be perfect. IMO.Thanks again for your response. Hugh.
