It's been a lot of years since Santa brought any reloading equipment, but it was a PACT DPPS scale the last time.

(Sniff, sniff!!)

Didn't get a doggone thing shooting related for Christmas!

Oh - I take that back! My little shooting buddy (grandson) came back from the Chicago area and is gonna stay with us for a while. Best Christmas ever! :D

My granddaughter born in 1993 got a 243 Ruger #1B born in 1979 for Christmas. Best present I got was her smile.

Here she is with her new (old) rifle, with her sister at the range after posting targets and with her sister at the reloading bench.

She can outshoot most of the boys in the 4H rifle club and once in a while outshoot me which brings her no end of mirth.

Where is the drool icon on this computer? Those are nice!!!

Not shooting, but related...

Got a new Bibler tent, new sleeping bag pad and some new clothes. After my last sheep hunt, my wife watched me trying to patch my old tent for about a week, scratch my head trying to figure out trying to figure out how to patch an inflatable sleeping pad and she has seen the sad shape of my hunting apparel. Bless her heart, she doesn't hunt, doesn't really know much about it, but she what she told Santa was exactly perfect.

My last hunt and a sheep hunt to boot in Alaska was between the Peters Creek drainage and the head of Eklutna Lake. We camped just below Thunderbird peak and killed two nice rams, both 35 inch curls in the basin where Thunderbird creek starts.

I couldn't get back to my camp for five days and packed the sheep up out of Thunderbird basin and down into the head of Eklutna lake.

When I got back to pick up my camp my tent and all the equipment I left there were gone, completly blown away. It was one of the Snowline pack tents that you had to sew yourself and my wife and I spent a month putting it togather. I sure missed that tent.

I know how important a good tent is in that country. God bless your wife.

She is a sweetie, Bob. I think the new gear is inspiration for my recovery from surgery so I get back into the mountains and out of her hair! :D

I've got a wife that puts my hunting first and feels my pain when I don't get to go. ......Or maybe she just wants me out of the house?

Now you have a goal, Alyeska - got to get that stuff out into the field and get it dirty. Can't have it just sitting around the house smelling new!

Mine got me a Burris 12-25x60 compact spotting scope and really surprised me with an ATN 340 night vision monocular. Now we'll actually be able to see that Forest Service cabin sign in the dark from the boat, :p unlike last time...

She's rather smart like that. Let's me go out in the dark and crappy weather to get it out of my system for a while. Stops me from bugging her and moping around the house. :D

Thats more like it fellas. I got a new pack saddle, (needed another) along with a new tent. One of them new all weather Remingtons in 243 cal. Now if I just knew where Peck, Idaho was maybe I'd head over thata way. We've packed and hunted from the Rattlesnake trailhead over near Prairie, Idaho for a couple years, well last time was two years ago. Pretty awesome country. BIG mulies, not 243 country I'm thinkin. Glad everone had a great Christmas, hopin '07 fills everbodys wishes. Good shootin. Play safe. :p

Peck is off Highway 12 between Lewiston and Orofino. It's about a mile and a half up Big Canyon from the Clearwater River. Small town with about a hundred folks living here.

Were not far from Dwarshak Dam and the 70 mile lake behind it. Not one town or village on the banks of this lake and very few roads into it.

We've got some big mulies in Big canyon, but very limited access and most of it's private property. Steeper than a cows face so it's darn hard country to hunt.

I traveled along the Clearwater many, many, years ago, at that time I thought it was the prettiest stream I'd ever seen. Like to see it again. If I remember right we were going to Kooski.

Santa left me a RCBS necksizing die set for .308 Win., 308 brass, couple of lbs. of IMR4895, and some Sierra 168 Match Kings. And I don't even own a 308.
Whats in that long box behind the tree :) O'boy it's a 10 FP.

Gotta love Santa and the elf (son) who put the idea in her ear.

Santa brought me one of the new RCBS Chargemaster scales.
Great toy.
Also my new rifle, the 6.5-284 arrived right before Christmas. Not bad-

Santa and the elves weren't communicating well this year. I got two of the same Nosler 5th Edition reloading manuals. Both got opened.

I keep a perpetual list of stuff I want to add to the bench, nothing expensive, but no one ever reads the list. I verbally espouse a desire for bullets and gunpowder but I always get clothes. Oh well.

My thoughtful wife put this computer beneath the tree, hoping I think to stimulate me to get my masters in education on-line. I figure on getting a masters in shooting and reloading first by reading this forum. Last year, there were a bunch of tools beneath the tree, and I ended up building this house. My wife is fairly persuasive, if you know what I mean.
