At the range today brand new Savage MKII BV. About 225 rounds to work the barrel in with NO FTL, FTF, FTEx or FTEj, used two 5 shot clips and two 10
shot from the wifes MKII F. Both guns are AccuTrigger it's great. The BV has two action mount screws a recoil lug and a Boyds stock (factory), the barrel is free floating from the step down. Will try bedding and such later. As I shoot to
site in and check the scope I will give another report (Barska 3X9X40 ok so far)
Also using an OLD Harris Bipod shortened to about 5"/8", works good.
Most of the ammo I used today was about 30 years old but it still worked fine.
Supper X HP and Federal 510, had a brick of Federal 510 that were spliting the cases and blowing out the back, Fedaral stood behind them and replaced them, they were 30 years old also but a different lot #. Can't beat that with a stick they could have said sorry to old your loss.
PS. found a dud on the bench with a firing pin strike on it guess what was on the back? An "R"
