Does anyone use the co-ax press for the 50-90 sharps cartridge? I cannot get any response from forster on creating an additionad set of co-ax jaws for the 50/90 cart. Anyone else having similiar problems? Yes, I know they make a shell holder attachment but that defeats the purpose of the centering function of the normal jaws.

That one is a little larger than I normally run into.

My Co-Ax will just barely accept the .404 Jeffery case rim (using a 7mm Dakota) and the 45-70 rim. Gotta get a small screwdriver to force the jaws to their maximum width to use them.

I haven't had any trouble with my Coax and 45-70's or 300RUM's (based on 404 Jeffery) But then I have both sets of jaws and I have to switch them out to do 7.62X54R's and the like. I think the latter is the same rim size as a 45-70 isn't it?

The rim dia. is the same for belted mags as the 300RUM anyway. that may be why I don't have any trouble with those.

Midway has the "LS" jaws

If your press didn't happen to come with them.

My biggest problem is with the dadblamed springs when they pop out and fly across the room and land in the darkest corner .

I agree, changing shell holder jaws is a royal pain on this press. Almost makes me want to get the universal shellholder plate. It would be nice if they had pre-assembled jaw sets including cap, springs and wear plate, complete with captive screws to make it easier/quicker to change them, without losing springs!

After losing one and spending considerable time locating it, ordered a couple of spares from Forster and now CAREFULLY hold pressure on the bottom plate when changing jaws out.
