Familiar with Marlins, but am looking at Win 94's to fill out lever collection. other than pre 64 and good condition. What things make a Win more valuable / desireable?

Old Winchesters were available with a number of special order options on guns made before WW II. More options--more money. On standard models value is established by age and condition. What are you collecting?

Saw a very nice Ted Williams 100 for a good price. My thinking is that its pobably $100 less than a similar Win model. might be a good way of adding a Win and getting a 30-30. But wanted to get some tips to see if I could get a better value with a real Win for not much more. What should I look for. Top eject/angle, staight stock/pistol, safety/nonsafety?
Thanks

Any pre-64 will be worth a look. That is 2,400,000 or lower serial number. Something around 1950 mfg. would be good, that's 1,500,000 S.N. and lower. Condition means a great deal with these guns so buy the best you can find. Anything older gets expensive very quickly. Expect to pay $500.00 or more for a good post WWII gun. Pre-WWII will go for 3 to 4 times that and more.

Good hunting,
