Gentlemen,
I was replacing the original grips on my Bisley Blackhawk and noticed a slight gap between the grip and frame. In an effort to close the gap, I overtightened the screw and pulled out the threaded insert in the left grip.

Would Ruger replace the grips? I realize it was mostly "operator error", but if the original grips had been right, I would never have broken them.

Failing factory replacement, how hard is it to make a set?

I'd just get some elk antler and make a set, they look soo cool. Chief

Epoxy it back in.

Not terribly difficult to make new ones, but it can be time-consuming.

I have a set of black plastic Vintage Gun Grips from Midway USA @ $25 on my SS Bisley .45 Colt. The old Colt look is great and I like the feel better than the wood. Just another option. Good luck.

Whats the chance you could post or send me a picture of the Grips on your Bisley.

I'll see if I can round up someone to help me with a pic. You can see the grips on Midway USA. Look at Ruger grips, low price to high.
