Picked this up today. Old bold action 22LR (only). Tube magazine.
Anyone know anything about it?
Seemed like a fun plinker and I needed another 22 rifle as my son has claimed my old Springfield 84C- .22 BA.
I'll tell you how it shoots after the range tomorrow.

It was likely made by Mossberg. That is all I can offer.

I have been told that it was made by Savage for Monkey Wards.
In any case I took it to the range Sunday and was shooting it at 25 yards. Sitting with elbows on the table if I did my job it put them pretty much through the same hole!
I think the firing pin is worn as it failed to fire about 7 rounds out of 100 but if they were refed it would shoot them. Looking at the cases it seemed that the strike was light. I'm gonna have that looked at.
It needs rebeded as the whole barrel action assemble is held to the stock by one thumb screw which alows some wiggle.
All in all a fun little tube fed bolt action gun. Small, light and fun to shoot. Worth the little bit I paid and anyway I like old, odd guns.
