Could someone tell me what the value of a Savage 99C in 308 wouldbe? The rifle is as new 98% couple of stock dings, made in 1976. These don't seem to be "collectors" so I am not sure what a good price for one would be?

I just bought one. M99C in .308 Win.

It was marked $499 and I bought it for $400. Probably 95% condition. It needs a little TLC and shine but mechanically it's perfect. Finally got to the range and shot it last weekend and WOW! :D
