Sorry if I missed any history on this, but My SBH is not as comfortable as my Bisley Blackhawk.

I'm curious if it is possible, and if so, what it would take to switch out the grip frames?

I suppose if that fails, I could get a monogrip from Hogue? Although it wouldn't look as sharp, the extra wood on the bottom of the frame would give my pinky someplace to go.

Your experience on the matter would be appreciated.

The grip frames shoud be interchangable. They are listed in Brownells. This one requires fitting, but if you get one from Ruger, they should fit without any issues.

It must be a "personal preferance", when I bought my Vaquero I found that I couldnot stand the feel of the Bisley frame and went with the standard frame.

Hey Wrench, good to see ya name up there.
Ya know, I'm struggling with the hammer. I thought I would like it because it's lower than the standard Blackhawk hammer, but the standard Blackhawk hammer spur seems flatter and wider, as my thumb has slipped off the Bisley once or twice:eek:

That is why I've been thinking about this...
