Looks like I got into reloading at just the right time. I can remember complaining several years ago about a box of .270 win Federal Premium being right at $20. The last box I bought before I starting loading my own was $30 and there not getting any cheaper.

Copper and lead are both getting expensive because we are bidding against China for them now. They won't get any cheaper anytime soon.

Scrap copper is selling for $2.40/ pound. People here in Missouri are pulling wire from new and old houses (stealing) and selling it. Bad deal! Q

Our scrap brass swept up at the gunrange is bringing $1.35/lb - and, they come and pick it up. Usual monthly sales is now around $2400/mo.

Can't understand why folks don't reclaim and reload.

I'm with you. My range offered the Boy Scout troop that uses our property for camping, fishing and boating if they cleaned up the brass they could sell it for the troop treasury.
Nope, to much like work.
There's tons of brass there. All of that cheap surplus, Berdan primed stuff was dropped and left. It's worked into the dirt and the gravel so much we don't need gravel any more.
The Boxer primed stuff goes home with me.
