I have the 22 mag. Mine is very reliable and even smoother after a season of hunting than when new. Quality ? it's all in the eye of the beholder , chances are if you are interested in a Henry , then for the money you will be well satisfied.

I owned the H001T and the Goldenboy, and now only own 3 Marlins. The Henry's are very smooth, but so is a 40 year old Marlin 39A. I like the steel better. The drop in the stock onn the Goldenboy made it impossible for me to shoot. If you want to take the gun apart to clean it good, you take a big risk of scratching the PAINT on the H001's. I like them as far as looks, but for long lasting, and easy to care for, the Marlin is tops in my book. Oh, with the Goldenboy receiver, you cannot get any solvents or oil on it. Must wipe it off with a dry cloth only.
The Henry's are Alloy frames painted black for the H001's and brass plated on the Goldenboy. Nothing solid. Gte a marlin and you won't regret it. Both the Henry and Marlin's are accurate though. I will give the edge to the Marlin again for accuracy.

I think that it's a fine rifle for the price. I have three .22's and it's the one that gets the most use.
