I'm new here and looks like I've found a good place to "bang around in". The postings I've seen are impressive and honest which is very nice to see! I love my hobby and actively endorse it with anyone that will listen. Hunting is a passion also, specifically the wild turkey of Missouri!!!

Welcome
I went to school at Wentworth Military Academy in Lexington back in the cap and ball era, lovely area.

Here in Virginia we have a tradition of hunting the small turkeys, but the real big strutters we elect of office.

This is just between you and me. There's a lot of guys who shoot 444s here about rather then the true and righteous 45-70. You becareful, or they will tempt you all sorts of wonderous things the 444 can do. The 45-70 is the way.
There's even people who admit in front of God and everybody that they shoot 44 mags rather then 45 Colt. I'd bet they have pearl handles on them too!
Just be on the watch, there's people who can not count to five so they had to stop at 44 or 444.

There are a few of us here who prefer not going up as high as 45, as we feel that anything from 264 to 44 is perfectly adequate for good marksmen. :p :D And pearl grips on hand guns are for pimps. Ivory is the prefered material for professionals. :p
