I got to thinking about guns I've owned over the years and about some I wish I had kept. I thought of the Colt 12 ga double, 73 Trapdoor "Sporter", Iver Johnson Cattleman that I converted from .357 to .45 Colt, 1903A3 Springfield that I started competition with, and some others . Do any of you have regets like this?

There was this little redheaded girl once, oh I guess you mean guns. The only gun I reget not having today is a Remington#700 in a .222. This gun was to advanced for me at the time, floated, bedded, squared and a light trigger. Real nice!!! Q

I was ready to step up to longer range varminting. Traded a Remington 788 in .222, for a 700BDL in 22-250. Gave a couple hundred to boot and the 788 had an American Redfield. Despited my best efforts the 22-250 was a distant second to the accurate little 788.

Learned my lesson about getting rid of anything that shoots good.

Also had a 514 Rem that was a Christmas gift from my dad when I was 12. Came up missing during my divorce along with a 870 and a S&W model 28. Figure they might have left with one of the ex's boyfriends.

When Magnaport opened in the 70ties they made 200 5 inch Super Blackhawks and 50 six inchers as commeratives. Had one of the six inchers, nicest gun I ever ownwd. Also an H&K 91 that I bought for 375.00 brand new. And a factory brass framed Super Blackhawk old model. The list goes on and on.

The list would be too long and take up too much bandwidth!

A Ruger M77 (pre Mk II) 257 Roberts. Think that's the only one that's gotten away from me so far.

I'm lucky in that I still have my first rifle, full size Remington 514. The one that got away was my single shot bolt action Mossberg in .410.
I also had an older pump .22 Winchester, model forgotten with tube feed.
