A strange comparison, but it's what I have! Just got the Ruger New Vaquero in 357 and took them both out the the range for fun. Here is my rundown.
The Walther is very light and accurate. But the balance is off, since the frame is plastic and the slide metal. Imagine a boat where the hull is plastic and the mast was made of metal-it feels top heavy. This is not unique to Walther, all polymers guns are like this. You can shoot lots of rounds really fast but loading magazines is torture.
The Vaquero is heavy. It's not as accurate but has very little recoil. It's also a lot more fun to shoot. There's something about cocking the gun with your thumb which is addicting. It's also sort of fun loading and unloading it, but you would end up as roadkill in a real firefight. It is also very handsome in stainless and I replaced the handles with pearlite. You also get dirty fast, since powder residue ends up all over the place, it's a lot more work to clean than the Walther.
Both are fun but the six shooter is just more fun. If you want fun get a six gun and pretend to be a cowboy. And save up your money, ammo is expensive. Cowboy loads go for $20 a box, but you can find cheap 9mm ammo from $7.
