I'm about to purchase my new rifle and have been having serious problems deciding on a scope. Most of my hunting takes place in heavy bush with most shots in the 50 to 70 yard range (max) and I have a rifle equipped with aperature sights for these conditions.
Now I want to equip my new bolt with a low powered, wide FOV, of good quality. I've looked at Burris Euro in 1-4 and Meopta Eurostar in 1-4 and can't make a decision to save my life. Anybody have any experience with either scope. Both scopes sell in Canada for around the same price.
Open to suggestions on other makes as well but want something with a wide field of view

Ditto Jackfish - save some money. Great scope.

If you want a scope to see all ,a fixed power 6x may be all you need. I have a 6 power on a.22 that allows me to see 12 feet to 200yds. plus. The 6 power is better than a 4x because of the longer range. you can still see up close and 2x better at long range. I think this is the best of both worlds you may not agree. Q

I hunt in heavy brush as well, and the 1-4X is a perfect choice. 6X can be too much in close quarters in heavy brush. You need all the field of view you can get. At those ranges all you really need is a crosshair to aim with.

Leupold VX2 1-4x20.

Great clarity, 4 plus inches eye relief, wide field of view. Light weight, incredible warranty for life if you ever need it.

Second would be a Burris Fullfield II 1 3/4 to 5 x 20. Eye relief is shorter than the Leupold but everything else is the same.

Both are great scopes.
