I have several ponds on land we own and in the spring I like to pack a little kit for the ATV and givem a visit.
Kit: 1 10" iron skillet, cornmeal, S&P in bag, little bottle of oil, tongs, a spud or 2. Scaler, knife, matches and paper towells.
I start a little fire first then chunk a beatlespin. I take what I catch, scale and gut, fillet if large and when the fire is ready, heat up the pan with oil. Drop the fish in the bag and shake, drop in the hot oil. Taters go in just naked. Drain 'em on towells. I sit on a rock or log and eat with hands, with no regard for etiqutte. Dang tasty!
