I was thinking people may have been getting tired of looking at my current avatar, so I was going to swap it out with a different one, but when I went to upload it, I got an error message that the max size is 0 pixels by 0 pixels, which, unless I miss my guess, is invisible. Also, I noticed that MikeG has been upgraded from Moderator to "the hog whisperer", I am jealous of that feature as well :D

That's what the voices keep telling me JP. ;)
That 0 by 0 pixel limit is a tough one to deal with for an avatar pic tho.

We have to stop this or we might get into trouble from the old guys. ;)

Come on, the old guys have a great sense of humor, as long as they've gotten their naps!
Speaking of old, we should have a Vintage rifle shoot, say rifles from 1896.. 1920, 1921.. 1939, 1940.. 1955- Bolt & semi auto. and modern rifles last- Bolt and semi auto. Maybe a reason to have a postal shoot. Or maybe Old guys against the young guys as teams!

Hmmm, strange - wonder if you have to delete the current avatar first? I dunno, not seeing you with the 'deer in the headlights look' just won't be the same.
Regarding my new title, I was having fun with the admin tool one day, and couldn't resist.

I've tried several times to upload an Avatar and I always get the "0 by 0" pixels message too.

Hmmm....? Let me take a look.
Right now I can't see anything that would prevent the avatars from being uploaded. I'll try to dig deeper tomorrow night. Feel free to remind me if you haven't seen anything new on this in a couple of days.

All I know is my profile says I can use an Avatar of "0 by 0 pixels or 2000 K whichever is smaller" and if I try it says my image is too large and that my max size is 0x0, that sorta kills it.

I just did a change of avatars, no problem. It might have something to do with sercurity settings in your browser. If you've got javascript off, turn it on.
If you can't set an avatar, tell us which browser yo're using. I'm using Opera 8.54 now.

Could be a Moderator thing, Jack. I think MikeG and Kragman mentioned that they are ok

I tried three times yesterday to put one up, got it to 1940K and it still told me it was too big due to the 0x0 pixels count and I had that down to 25x22.

This is curious. Attach your avatar to a PM or email and send it to me. I changed niner's avatar, so it's worth a try with your's. Send a pic that's bigger than 25x22, that's too small to see. I can downsize it with Irfanview, both in dimensions and file size.
EDIT: PMs won't work. Try email.
Bye

Try making the avatars 50x50 pixels, or at least, not more than 50 pixels on the largest side. I suspect that will work.
I don't think that the forum software automatically resizes them.

Hey! Great!
Thanks Jack.
That's Herb. AKA Brainstem Boy. Good watchcat. Let's me know when we have moose in the yard and is murder on yellowjackets that get into the house. If it's in his house, small and moves, it's gotta die. Or at least that's the way he feels. Of course, that applies to socks, bed pillows, folding laundry, shoe strings, my feet, my slippers... Still not sure what he has against my slippers.
Could it be the smell is offending him??????????? :p

It would not be the same not seeing your smiling puss every day when I check into the Forum. You do have a eerie resemblance to my oldest son, except he likes French berets better, heh, heh.
