I have a Marlin 880 SQ that had a plastic or composite stock on it and the bull barrel and a Bushnell 3x9 dusk to dawn scope. I shot about average with it, but not as accurate as I want. I am putting a good wood stock on it and glass embedding the barrel. Do you guys think that it will be worth the effert, and has anyone already tried this on other rifles?

i would have the action bedded abd the first inch of the barrel at the receiver and float the rest of the barrel. after that provided you bought a have decent lamanet stock i would bet the farm that your rig shoots lights out. Marlin has very good barrels on their rimfires, the only other item to look at is a trigger job.
