Hi I am curious as to why the Marlin 39 is so hard to find ? At a reasonable price ? Are they indeed such a great rifle ? I am looking to buy a lever 22 and am curious as to how the Henry, the Taurus stack up to the Marlin as far as accuracy durability etc. Thanks BillyCraig

plain and simple and no disrespect towards the other lever actions out there, they are a true piece of craftsmanship. when you find one, hold it , look at it operate it, you'll seee what i'm talking about. i had one, sold it and now regret it. i picked up a henry rifle for my boys this past christmas and it is a well made rifle but it can not compare to that piece of art i sold. i'll get another one in the near future.

Hi thanks for the info I guess I am like everyone in that I would like to find ine used at a great price! gosh I remember when used 22,s were everywhere but now I seldom see any at all in pawn shops or smaller gun shops every now and then a used marlin auto in ratty condition that the shop will be asking more for than a new one cost!
