I have two accurate loads for my MG using 250 gr. Hornady XTP's: 9.0 grs. Universal Clays and 13.0 grs. HS-6. Both loads use Starline brass and WLP's. Velocity wise, would these XTP loads perform well at 50 yards and under on average sized mule deer (150-200 lbs)? I have several 454424 loads that are just as accurate (20.3 grs. H4227 is simply awesome) but I've been told the XTP is a better deer bullet to use for the purpose intended.

God Bless,

Alan

Alan:

You can Email me for a few other loads I've worked up for the Mountain Gun. Thet all seem to me to be mild, or shall I say non-punishing loads, up to 300gr.

The 625 has proven to be one of my favorite revolvers!!!!
