I just won this and it was advertised as the 18 1/2" barrel until i figured out that the front sight didnt look right. Turns out the guy made a mistake and its a 16" version. So how many shots does this gun hold? What would the velocity loss be from the 18 1/2" barrel. If anyone has one of these "Trapper Style" 1894s how accurate are they and any problems with them. It has a post front sight instead of the ramp style.

Thats a great prize, congratulations. What caliber is it? I'm told you lose around 25 fps for every 1" reduction in barrel length.

My 18.5" '94C holds 9 .357 mag, 10 .38 sp. Cut off 2 in. and you will probably loose 1 or 2 rounds.
