hello all, i have 2 EMF/Uberti Single Action Army revolvers, and would like to tune them a bit; actions are somewhat stiff, the hammer pull can be quite stiff and sometimes downright difficult to get the pistols fully cocked and rotated into battery, and sometimes the hammers want to "slip" unless cocked VERY firmly. Is there a site or link, or perhaps someone can reccomend a book, that explains how to do this, and what to leave alone and what to file and fit? I have built a few FAL rifles and tackled numerous other home gunsmithing jobs, so i think this is within the scope of my ability. Thanks, Azure

PS when they are cocked and ready to fire, trigger pull is fine, i dont want or need to modify that, just hammer engagement and possibly bolt timing?

Check out these books and videos. You may find some that are helpful. The Uberty is very much like the Colt single actions.
