What is the simplest method to change the triggerplate between two marlin1894s? One is a pistol grip that I wish to put on a straight grip gun and vice versa. Thanks, Goat

Remove the lever and bolt, remove the stock, with hammer all the way fwd, remove the mainspring and retainer. Remove the bottom and side screw, pull the triggerplate. Swap the parts, and reassemble.

You'll have to remove the hammer screw too, as it goes through those two hoops on the trigger plate. It's the largest screw on the right side of the receiver, low and at the back.
