I recently aquired a Win. 9422 xtr and cant find much about this particular one. It has no checking on the stock or forearm. I would really like to know the age and how much its worth. can anyone help?

Sounds like you might have a 78-79 XTR. Let us know what you find out.

Luckily, I also just aquired a 9422 xtr. It is in excellent shape. Don't think it was handled or shot in the last 10-15 years. And very little before that. The wood is really impressive, checkered and no dings that I can find. Bought the 9422 along with a 94AE that is almost as nice.

Mine has a serial # starting with f448XXX and I cannot find a reliable mfr. date. Be nice to get some more info.
