I'm new to the forum, so Hello to everyone. I have a new Browning T-Bolt. I took it to my gunsmith to have a trigger job done on it, but he was unable to get inside the trigger mechanism. Is there anyway to do this? I know you can adjust it with the screw in front of the trigger, but I would like the trigger pull somewhere between 2 and 2 1/2 pounds. I really like the gun because I'm use to a 7+ pound Marlin and carrying that up in the mountains squirrel hunting gets a little heavy. The Browning is like a toy in weight. I'm about ready to buy another trigger mechanism just to see if he can lower it without breaking anything. My wonderful hubby got me the gun for my birthday and I hate to trade it in on something else.
Thanks a bunch,

Welcome to the forum GenuineJewell. Rules are simple, be nice and join in.

I've never been inside a browning so can't help you with that one. If the trigger mechanism is riveted as some I've seen they certainly can be hard to get inside to hone sears and such.

Go over to this site and dig around a little. There might be someone whom could help you over there.

I read that the new T-bolts trigger housing is a plastic or at least synthetic, and not metal may be why your smith won't work on the gun. I have not even seen one yet but was interested and had read about the new housing not being metal.
