I'd like to find a source for the USMC front sight blade and modified insert for the elevator rear sight. The USMC version features a thicker front sight blade with sharp crisp edges. The rear insert for the elevator sight has a more pronounced peep sight.

SgtMaj,
You might find these sights at Gun Parts Corporation at www.gunpartscorp.com or Sarco, Inc. at www.sarcoinc.com. Hope this helps. Take care...

I've looked at both Sarco and Gunpartscorp, plus Chestnutridge and a few other companies pretty much common knowlege to most shooters/collectors. However, no such items are available thru them. I've heard of a Bill Bentz that deals in them, does anyone know this gentleman? I tried to Google his site, but again no luck. Any other suggestions. Those sights really make the difference when firing the '03 at competitions. To you guys that responded, thanks all the same.

One other off the beaten path place you might try is Tennessee Gun Parts (www.tngunparts.com). This fellow had lots of mil surp and other parts and just might have what you're looking for.

Hey Old Guy--I just happened to come back to this posting and your info did in fact contain scoop on the guy that I did in fact get my sights from. Fortunately, a buddy had Bill's address for me to contact him. $70.00 for a set--high for some, but well worth the cash, as they are extremely well made!
