Now, for that you would have to move up here, and leave the land of red clay and decay, er um I mean The garden state behind.

right now the Lakes region, ala Newfound lake, and area's round...Wolfsboro's really nice.
We are both sweet on the North conway area too, as well as Freedom.
I'd live in Freedom just for the name of the town.
also looked at Bethlehem and Littleton.

Sunapee is beautiful, as well as osippee!

M141a:

Why move to Northen Massachusetts (a/k/a New Hampshire) when you can move to a REAL hunting/fishing state (Maine)? We also have a Freedom, Liberty, Union, in Maine. The ONLY thing NH has over ME is that we have a sales tax! Oh, I forgot: They DO have more birch trees.

jean in The Great and Bountiful State of Maine!!

Actually, I've got a couple of Rooosian POS'. A 91/30 and a 38. Using some of BTB's .314" GC's and Sierra .311" 173 grainers, the accuracy isn't too bad. The 91/30 has a bore that resembles a washboarded country road and the M38 is slightly better. With scopes attached, can get 1.25 MOA with the rifle and 1.50 with the carbine.

That carbine sure is loud, though!

Have you tried them off hand at an object? Such as a clay? You may be very surprised at 100 to 200 yards! My 2 Bastard builds are so accurate off hand, and the Hungarian M-44 is very accurate also. They would make great pig guns!!! To Bad you don't have the Bayonet for the 38. It does a great job cooking Hotdogs at the range!! :D Jim

Ah, but I DO have the bayonet for it! Presently serves as a book holder on my reloading bench (stuck in a hole in the bench top). :D

Off subject again!! Glad it is stuck in your hole, as a bookmark. ;) But really, shoot them off hand! I have lots of Barnuel 203 grain hunting ammo that kicks a$$. I bought it 15 years ago. Great stuff. Same POI as Barnuel military stuff!

P.S., The Hotdogs are pretty good, if you like char! Jim
