12 Targets, 3 best, either sitting, standing or prone 4 of each. No more than 3 targets per position. Standard 5 round. No scopes! Iron only! If it has a peep as issued ok! Example.. No4Mk1, FR8...
Off hand! No sling, no bench! Jim
Edit, No Rest! Remember, an 8" or more group can win easily. So just shoot!
Off hand is not easy, but it is fun! If you feel more comfortable shooting at longer ranges, please do!

Here is a target for those who need one! http://www.beartoothbullets.com/pdf/target_bw.pdf

I appreciate the offer. Just don't know right now. Mrs. Charley had the same procedure done last year, and three weeks later her CHL qualification score jumped from about 200 to the 230s (250 poosible). I will have to see what the implant does. If not this match, maybe the next.

None of those. Semi autos's and a few lever actions all except my sons chipmunk 22. I'm going down this morning to see what I can find. Old military are all semi's . M1 carbine, AR, Mini 14's, MAK90 and the Cetme. I have a hankering for something new.
I'll let you know if I find something so I can play.
Thanks,
Greg

JP, lemme see if I can get out.
Printing targets as I type but if the baby decides she's coming NOW and she is due any day, I may not be getting out.
I've got the No 4 MK I, the Turk M1938 and the M24/47 and I just decapped and sized 40 cases of .303 to reload.
Hmmmm. Sounds like fun

Sounds like 3 entries to me! I really don't think the wife would understand if you were shooting when she went into labor and missed it! Good luck, and send me a PM for my address when you are done. Jim

She is pretty understanding but I think that would be a tad bit over the line. :p
So long as I'm only 20 minutes from home or the hospital I think I'm okay. This is our, her first and I have twins from my first marriage. They turn 10 on the 15th. I'm looking at matching .22 rimfires for them as this is the year they graduate to that. It is our new little girl I was asking about a pink rifle for. Thinking more spring green and pastel yellow now for her. :D
HEY JP!!!
I almost forgot!
I've got a Romanian M1969. What about that at 100 yards for the postal shoot? ;) :D

Canceled! Thanks for the support Mods! Not worth the time. I guess if I was in Idaho, Arizona or Louisiana it would have been different. Really dissapointed in the "no shooter catagory" Your talking, and 2 mods do the surplus thing, but no support, no activity!!! See you around. James Patterson
Why is it Ranch dogs postal is up, JB's 2 year post is still pinned? I am pissed!!
What a joke, you talk, but I am putting in my time and no one gives a ****!

JP. I just saw your rant on the General and came over to see what was going on. I don't read the MILItary thread but I would have shot my Mosine, probably. It is russian and can't stay on paper at 100 yds even with rolling my own, but I could have shot a few targets for giggles. In fact when I shoot it it always makes me giggle.
I am kinda glad I did not know about it because I have a hard time getting to shoot much these days. If it was not for the Ranch Dog I probably would not shoot at all except to get ready for season.
I will watch this Military thing form now on as much as I can. Sorry it did not work out.

You also got me back into reloading because of the 7.55 Swiss. Com'on let me show you soon how this thing shoots, ok?

OK!!
Jim:
I will oblige you and will try to shoot my M44 with it's new 2x20 BSA pistol scope at 100 yards off hand even with my MYOFASCIAL PAIN SYNDROME (http://members.aol.com/fibroworld/mps.htm). Can't guarantee the results. I understand I can't use my sling to steady my right arm? Is that correct?

Even if there are 3 or 4 of use, I am still in. Jean, you and I know each other, I do know what you are dealing with. So I will leave it up to the other Members, They have my word that this is a ligitemute situation. But, the more the merrier.
OK, Last time, Any bolt action open sight Military rifle, made before 1962 (This way the Ishy enfields can play) Original sights only! Use the Target posted, PM me for my address. I will post winners. Lets carry this though July 29th. Please PM my if you want in. I do appologize for any issues I have created. Jean, in a 3 position shoot the ground, and knee or thigh supports the arm in Sitting position, and the ground in Prone. Jim

Jean, I was thinking some of the guys might need a Sealy Posturepedic. :D
I was going to write and complain about a lack of time but the extension is a very welcome thing. I may take the Turk, the M24/47 and the SMLE, and just shoot each to send you a handful of ugly targets. :p Three rifles, three positions, at least nine targets. If I can get them on the paper...

I got one but all I have is a second car I use for all my shooting. It's a 92 VW Jetta and no matter how I try I can't get that d**n mattress in the car. Maybe I'll get hook up wheelbarrow wheels and drive it to the site.

Well since Rhino's area is still under water, and he has asked, I decided to extend the date to shoot and "mail" your targets till August 30th. So far my best is a Sitting target. 12, 4,8 o'clock in the bull and 9,3 in the 9 ring. The 9 ring were both on the fringe. 2 3/8 group. I used my k31 for this target. I could not get a good group standing, but I still have one target to go. Then prone. Yesterday, Sunday, the same day, my DCM bushmaster was worse. Jim

And thanks Jim for the extension. I tried last week but couldn't get a good prone aim with the mask and snorkel.
