I acquired, from a member here, a very nice Remington model 81 chambered in 35 Remington.
As she sits now she has no rear sight, but instead wears a 4x Redfield with a German post reticule.
While she shoots to acceptable "Minute of Bambi" accuracy with the scope, I'd like to re-sight her with the appropriate irons.

Herein lies the problem;
I cannot find a rear sight assembly, nor the screws anywhere.:(
I have tried Numerich, as well as weekly google searches and Flea-Bay, but cannot find one.

My next direction is to retro-fit a sight from another weapon, but would rather not head in that direction...
so if any of you out there have a source, i'd sure love to hear about it.!

Get a Gun List and look for Gary Feller. He will undoubtably have one.

I just ran across a gent on the Thehighroad.org that is gonna send me an original King sight for 10 dollars, including screws.

I don't know anything about the Model 81 but maybe somebody knows if the sights from the Model 14 and 14 1/2 are the same??? I think they were made about the same time?? Also if you don't have any luck PM me in about 10 days. I'll be back from the fishing trip and I'll dig out the name of a guy near me that just might be able to help you.
