I would suggest looking at Gun Parts Corporation at www.gunpartscorp.com or Sarco, Inc. at www.sarcoinc.com. Hope this helps. All the best...

I asked about sights for the '03 Spfd and got a bunch of suggestions for sources that unfortunately didn't pan out. I did find a source for them from a gentleman in Pennsylvania. He'll make you a brand new set and ship/insure to you for $70.00. I know that this sounds high to some, but they are well worth the money and he is the only source I could find for them. I am awaiting his approval on posting his name and e-mail address for anyone interested.

I know people have been making the old rear sight micrometers again for making fine match shooting adjustments. I probably saw the ad in Precision Shooting Magazine. E-gunparts.com (Numrich) seems to have all the necessary pieces. The trick is to look the rifle up under U.S. Military rather than under Springfield or Springfield Armory. A link is here (http://www.e-gunparts.com/productschem.asp?chrMasterModel=2070zSPRINGFIELD%2 01903)

While these are in fact sights for the '03, they are not the USMC upgrades. The originals are .06 inches in diameter, while the USMC are .10 inches in diameter. Therefore a clearer, more visible view. The front sight blade is more defined and crisp in appearance. These are more highly desirable than the standard ones.
