My grandfather passed me down his first gun (a Marlin model-39A) to be my first gun but i can't find the serial number. Ive checked all over the gun and my grandfather cant remember where it is could someone help me?

A lot of 22 caliber rifles did not have any seral number on them. My Remington does not have one either.

Serial number should be under tyhe lever on a 39a, you can fine the date made here.
